Media NotesAlfred Richard "Bud" Kielland was born on June 5, 1935 in Everett, Washington and passed away on July 26, 2015 in Everett, Washington.

Born in 1935, Bud graduated in 1954 from Renton High School. His passion was racing cars. He started the business "Speed Equipment Wholesalers" in Renton, Washington. He later named it, "Warehouse West." In 1966, he in a partnership with others, won the National Hotrod Association's Best Engineered Car of the year, with the twin engine dragster "Sweet Sixteen."

He later sold the business then developed some Real Estate and started building custom homes until 1995 when he retired.

He is survived by his son; James Kielland, daughters: Kolleen (Robert) Cole, Rio Rancho, NM., Linda Kielland of Lake Stevens, Washington and Laura Kielland. Also survived by sister; Lita Bond of Auburn, Washington. and 2 grandchildren: Kelia Critchfield and Michael Fowler.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date.
